  1. After way too much partying, UFO released their 11th studio offering "Making Contact", (). Pete Way was gone, so Paul Chapman and Neil Carter split bass duties. How this album ever got made is beyond me, but they did it, and it's better damn good. The leadoff track is the amazing rocker "Blinded By A Lie", Neil Carter wrote 9 of the 10 tracks/5(31).

  5. At the time of it's release in , Making Contact was heavily rumored to be the final album from UFO. The eleventh studio LP from the high flyers was cut during a period of inner turmoil. Bassist Pete Way had left the group following the Mechanix tour, to join Eddie Clarke with the Fastway project.

  7. Mogg sounds fine, but the material here is mostly second-rate '80s pop-metal. The Thin Lizzy-tinted "A Fool for Love" and the upbeat "Push, It's Love" almost cut it, but like the rest of Making Contact, these tracks are mired in a mid- to slow-tempo quagmire of tired riffs and cliché lyrics that limit the record's ability to rock." - Allmusic.
